Andrea A. | Recruitment Team Lead

For someone who constantly strives to learn and grow, it might sound cliché to say that career growth is a top priority when looking for a job, but what if it truly is?

When I started in recruitment, I wasn’t just looking for a job—I wanted a challenge and an opportunity to make an impact. That’s when I came across AGSI and discovered how they value growth, opportunity, and work-life balance. As a licensed psychometrician who chose the corporate path over clinical practice, fortunately, AGSI entrusted me with the full recruitment cycle for the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) industry account. Working in recruitment for ABA professionals allowed me to bridge my knowledge with real-world applications, making my role even more meaningful.

Every step of the process—from sourcing candidates and conducting interviews to onboarding and recruitment marketing—became a valuable learning experience. It wasn’t always easy, but I’ve always believed that motivation fuels success, and discipline sustains it. Three months in, I received the Rockstar Award for stepping up, followed by a Top Performer recognition, which opened doors to even greater opportunities, including a leadership role within my division.

Stepping into leadership was a turning point. At AGSI, ingenuity isn’t just encouraged—it’s essential for effective leadership. Through AGSI’s culture, I discovered that my leadership style leans heavily toward collaboration, as I firmly believe in the power of collective effort.

I value the insights and perspectives of my team, knowing that great ideas emerge when people work together. Whether it’s refining recruitment strategies, enhancing candidate experiences, or developing new ways to engage talent, ingenuity and teamwork play a key role in driving success. Every session I lead isn’t just about sharing knowledge—it’s about creating a space where ideas grow, contributions are valued, and everyone succeeds together.

Beyond professional achievements, I’ve realized that mindset is everything. A supportive work environment made all the difference, helping me reach both career and personal milestones—including my first domestic and international travels—all within a year.

Looking back, I see that growth isn’t just about climbing the corporate ladder—it’s about saying yes to challenges and embracing opportunities as they come. If there’s one thing I hope my journey inspires in others, it’s this

We may not always end up where we planned or wished to be, but growth is always possible. No matter where you are or what path you’re on, you have the power to rise to the occasion. Opportunity is always there—it’s just a matter of whether you seize it or let it pass you by.
